Welcome to CloseByPaw.

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of closebypaw.com, including all information, content, features, products, and services made available through the website.

Throughout these Terms, the words “CloseByPaw,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of closebypaw.com. The words “you” and “your” refer to the visitor, customer, or purchaser using the website.

By visiting our website, placing an order, or purchasing a product, you agree to these Terms of Service together with our Refund & Return Policy, Shipping Policy, and Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the website or place an order.

1. Online Store Terms

You must be at least the age of legal majority in your country, state, or region to place an order through this website.

By using the website, you confirm that:

  • the information you provide is accurate and complete
  • you are legally permitted to enter into a purchase agreement
  • you are authorized to use the selected payment method
  • you will not use our products or services for unlawful purposes
  • you will not attempt to interfere with the security or operation of the website
  • you will not use the website in a way that violates applicable law
  • you will not submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information

You may not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the website, products, content, or services without our prior written permission.

2. Product Information

CloseByPaw offers decorative pet keepsake products designed to help customers create and display a physical paw impression together with photographs.

We make reasonable efforts to display product descriptions, photographs, colors, dimensions, contents, and features accurately.

However:

  • colors may appear differently depending on your screen or device
  • minor variations in color, texture, finish, packaging, or materials may occur
  • product dimensions may vary slightly
  • photographs may include pets, furniture, decorations, or accessories that are not included
  • handmade or personalised results may differ between customers
  • the finished paw impression depends on how the product is prepared and used
  • packaging may change without affecting the main function of the product

The CloseByPaw Paw Print Keepsake Kit includes only the items expressly listed in the product description or “What’s Included” section.

Images and videos are presented for demonstration and illustrative purposes.

The appearance of the finished keepsake depends on factors including:

  • the size and shape of the pet’s paw
  • how evenly the clay is rolled
  • the pressure used when creating the impression
  • drying conditions
  • painting technique
  • photograph size and positioning
  • customer assembly

We do not guarantee that every finished paw impression will look identical to the examples shown on the Site.

3. Product Availability

All products, quantities, colors, styles, and variants are subject to availability.

We reserve the right to:

  • limit quantities
  • discontinue products
  • change product components
  • update packaging
  • correct inventory errors
  • refuse or cancel orders affected by inaccurate availability
  • restrict sales to certain countries or regions
  • limit orders that appear to be placed by resellers or distributors

Adding a product to the cart does not reserve inventory.

An order is not fully accepted until payment has been authorized and the order has entered processing.

If an unavailable product is purchased because of an inventory or technical error, we may cancel the affected item and issue a refund to the original payment method.

4. Prices and Promotions

Prices are displayed in the currency selected or determined by the store.

Prices may change without notice.

A price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted, unless the original price resulted from an obvious technical, typographical, or pricing error.

Promotional discounts:

  • may have specific eligibility requirements
  • may apply only to selected products
  • may expire without notice
  • cannot be exchanged for cash
  • cannot normally be combined unless stated otherwise
  • may exclude certain destinations or shipping methods
  • may be limited to one use per customer, household, email address, or order

Compare-at prices, discounts, promotional claims, free gifts, and bundle offers apply only as expressly displayed at the time of purchase.

Taxes, customs duties, import charges, and shipping fees may be added where applicable.

We reserve the right to cancel or correct an order affected by an obvious pricing, discount, or promotional error.

5. Orders and Contract Formation

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase the selected products.

After placing an order, you may receive an automated confirmation email.

This confirms that we received your order but does not necessarily mean that the order has been finally accepted.

We may refuse, hold, or cancel an order for reasons including:

  • suspected fraud
  • unauthorized payment
  • incorrect product pricing
  • inventory errors
  • incomplete customer information
  • unavailable shipping destination
  • violation of these Terms
  • unusually large or reseller-style quantities
  • technical errors
  • processing errors
  • abuse of discounts, promotions, returns, or chargebacks
  • security or payment verification concerns

If we cancel an order after payment has been captured, the affected amount will be refunded to the original payment method.

6. Customer Information

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate information when placing an order.

You are responsible for confirming:

  • full recipient name
  • email address
  • telephone number, where requested
  • street and building number
  • apartment, suite, or unit number
  • city
  • state, province, county, or region
  • postal or ZIP code
  • country
  • product and quantity selected
  • billing information
  • shipping information

CloseByPaw is not responsible for problems caused by incorrect, outdated, or incomplete information supplied by the customer, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

You must contact us promptly if you notice an error.

We will make a reasonable effort to assist, but order or address changes cannot be guaranteed after fulfillment has begun.

7. Payment

Available payment methods are shown during checkout.

By submitting payment information, you confirm that:

  • you are authorized to use the payment method
  • the billing information is accurate
  • sufficient funds or credit are available
  • the payment is not being used for fraudulent or unlawful purposes
  • you authorize the applicable payment provider to process the transaction

Payments may be processed by Shopify, PayPal, card networks, banks, or other third-party payment providers.

We generally do not directly store complete payment-card numbers.

Payment providers may perform:

  • fraud screening
  • identity verification
  • payment authentication
  • authorization checks
  • security checks
  • transaction monitoring

An order may be delayed, held, or canceled if payment authorization is declined or additional verification is required.

Your use of a third-party payment service may also be governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.

8. Shipping and Delivery

Order processing, delivery estimates, shipping charges, tracking, customs, address issues, lost-package procedures, and delivery claims are governed by our Shipping Policy.

Delivery dates are estimates unless expressly described as guaranteed.

We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including:

  • customs inspections
  • carrier disruptions
  • severe weather
  • public holidays
  • strikes
  • transportation restrictions
  • border delays
  • local postal disruptions
  • incorrect customer-provided information
  • remote delivery locations
  • major supply-chain interruptions

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer rights.

9. Returns and Refunds

Returns, refunds, damaged products, incorrect products, missing components, cancellations, and replacement requests are governed by our Refund & Return Policy.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, change-of-mind returns are accepted only when the product remains unused, complete, and in resalable condition.

The product may become ineligible for a standard return if:

  • the clay has been opened
  • the clay has been kneaded, rolled, pressed, dried, or painted
  • the paints have been opened or used
  • the product has been personalised
  • the frame has been assembled or displayed
  • photographs have been cut, attached, or inserted in a way that damages the product
  • components are missing
  • the product has been scratched, cracked, stained, or otherwise damaged
  • the product has been damaged by a pet
  • the product has been stored or handled incorrectly

Refund eligibility is determined after the returned product has been received and inspected.

Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Paw Impression Results

The CloseByPaw Paw Print Keepsake Kit is a craft product.

The quality and appearance of the finished impression depend on customer preparation and use.

Customers are responsible for following the provided instructions, including:

  • preparing the clay properly
  • rolling the clay evenly
  • cleaning and drying the pet’s paw
  • applying suitable pressure
  • attempting the impression before the clay begins to dry
  • allowing the impression to dry fully
  • painting only after the clay has dried
  • storing the product in suitable conditions

The clay may generally be reshaped before it begins to dry.

An imperfect impression caused by uneven rolling, insufficient pressure, excessive pressure, pet movement, incorrect handling, or failure to follow the instructions is not automatically considered a product defect.

We do not guarantee:

  • a perfect paw impression on the first attempt
  • an exact match to product photographs
  • identical results between different pets
  • identical drying times in all climates
  • identical paint colors on every screen or surface
  • professional-quality results without careful preparation

This does not affect your rights if the product or a component was defective when delivered.

11. Product Safety and Intended Use

CloseByPaw products are decorative craft keepsakes.

They are not:

  • toys
  • food products
  • pet treats
  • veterinary products
  • medical products
  • products intended for chewing
  • products intended for unsupervised use by pets or children

Always supervise your pet while creating the paw impression.

Keep the following away from pets and young children when not in use:

  • clay
  • paint
  • paintbrushes
  • rollers
  • packaging
  • plastic components
  • frame components
  • glass or protective panels
  • small accessories

Do not allow a pet or child to eat, lick, chew, or swallow any component.

Before creating the impression:

  • ensure the pet’s paw is clean
  • inspect the paw for cuts, irritation, or injury
  • use gentle pressure
  • keep the session brief
  • stop if the pet shows stress, pain, fear, or discomfort

Clean the pet’s paw after use.

Do not use the product on an injured, infected, irritated, or highly sensitive paw.

If you have concerns about your pet’s health or safety, consult a qualified veterinarian before use.

12. Frame and Glass Safety

Some CloseByPaw products may contain glass, acrylic, protective panels, metal fasteners, or other rigid components.

Before assembly or use:

  • inspect the frame for cracks or sharp edges
  • handle glass carefully
  • keep broken components away from pets and children
  • do not use a damaged frame
  • place the finished keepsake on a stable surface
  • use suitable wall fixings if hanging the product
  • keep the product away from areas where it may fall
  • follow any included assembly instructions

CloseByPaw is not responsible for damage caused by incorrect installation, unsuitable wall fixings, dropping, misuse, or placement in an unsafe location, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

13. Care and Storage

Follow the instructions provided with the product or displayed on the Site.

To help preserve the keepsake:

  • allow the clay to dry fully
  • keep the finished impression away from excessive moisture
  • avoid direct contact with water
  • keep the product away from extreme heat
  • avoid prolonged exposure to strong direct sunlight
  • handle painted areas carefully
  • use suitable materials when cleaning the frame
  • do not apply harsh chemicals to the clay impression
  • store unused components securely
  • keep the product away from pets that may chew or scratch it

Drying times may vary depending on temperature, humidity, thickness, and local conditions.

Damage caused by improper drying, moisture, heat, chemicals, unsuitable storage, dropping, scratching, chewing, or other misuse may not qualify as a manufacturing defect.

14. Photographs and Personalisation

Customers are responsible for selecting, printing, cutting, and positioning photographs used in the frame.

CloseByPaw is not responsible for:

  • photographs cut to the wrong size
  • damage to original photographs
  • low-resolution prints
  • printing color differences
  • incorrect photograph orientation
  • personalisation mistakes made by the customer
  • paint or glue applied incorrectly
  • damage caused by third-party printing services

We recommend using copies of important photographs rather than irreplaceable originals.

Customers should confirm photograph dimensions before cutting or inserting them into the frame.

15. Reviews, Photos, Videos, and User Content

You may have the opportunity to submit:

  • product reviews
  • photographs
  • videos
  • comments
  • testimonials
  • social-media content
  • other materials

You confirm that content you submit:

  • is accurate and based on your genuine experience
  • does not infringe another person’s rights
  • does not contain unlawful, harmful, or misleading material
  • does not include private information without permission
  • is not fraudulent
  • does not contain malware or harmful code
  • does not violate applicable law

Unless prohibited by law, submitting content may grant CloseByPaw a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, adapt, publish, distribute, and use that content in connection with the Site, products, customer communications, and marketing.

We may remove or refuse content that violates these Terms.

We will not knowingly label a review as verified unless available order or platform records support that designation.

Do not submit photographs or personal information relating to another person without their permission.

16. Intellectual Property

All website content, including:

  • logos
  • brand names
  • product descriptions
  • graphics
  • photographs

17. Third-Party Services and Links

The website may use or link to third-party services, including:

  • Shopify

  • social-media platforms

We are not responsible for the content, availability, security, policies, or practices of third-party websites or services.

Your use of third-party services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.

A link to a third-party service does not mean that we control or endorse all of its content or practices.

18. Optional Tools

We may provide access to third-party tools that we do not monitor, control, or operate.

Access to optional tools is provided on an “as available” basis without warranties or conditions, except where such warranties cannot legally be excluded.

Your use of optional third-party tools is at your own discretion and may be governed by the terms of the relevant provider.

We are not obligated to update every piece of historical information on the Site unless required by applicable law.

21. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the website, content, products, and services are provided on an “as available” basis.

  • the website will always be free from viruses or harmful components

Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty, guarantee, or consumer protection that cannot legally be excluded.

  • operational changes
  • new products or services
  • changes to website functionality
  • changes to payment or delivery providers
  • changes to Shopify or third-party services

The current version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.

Changes will not retroactively remove rights already attached to a completed purchase.

We encourage customers to review these Terms periodically.

28. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Site if you violate these Terms or use the Site in an unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent manner.

Obligations and liabilities incurred before termination will continue to apply where appropriate.
